Comments Thread For: Takam vs. Thompson Early Results From France

Well-known French journeyman Franck Haroche "Abdelmalik" Horta (35-13-5, 13 KOs) interrupted his recent three-fight losing streak, defeating familiar opponent Kevin Bertogal (5-11-3) over eight hard-fought rounds. BoxingScene had it 77-75 - for Horta, who was an aggressor and pressed the action against elusive Bertogal.

Horta has already fought Bertogal the last year and became the only fighter to stop him. He had wins over a number of undefeated fighters in his past and also a stoppage victory over perennial continental contender Jackson Osei Bonsu.

F2H isn't a journeyman, he is a warrior fighting anyone anywhere, it's a bit different.

Takam did a good job of getting Thompson against the ropes.

Yes good job, however he kept his hands low in front of Thompson even when he stoped moving his head movement, which would be risky against someone else. I'm happy he won, to me he won the most of the rounds. The fight took place 500 m from my appartement, I was there with my teammates, our coach gave as free tickets and we all rooted for Takam. That one ring girl was boiling hot.
