Mayweather will fight khan at Wembley

According to Espn Floyd is ready to take on khan at Wembley stadium.

Floyd Mayweather has dropped the biggest hint yet that he will give Amir Khan the bout he craves after the unbeaten American welterweight said he wants to fight in London.

Mayweather was left stunned by the record 80,000 crowd that turned out for the rematch between Carl Froch and George Groves at Wembley on Saturday.
And the 37-year-old believes he can top that level of interest should he set up a contest in England's capital.
"It's been a goal to come to the UK and put on a spectacular event and the plan is to do just that," he told The Sun.

"I love all my fans in the UK and I want to go there and give a good show at Wembley before I retire. I plan to come in the near future.
"I want to continue to make history with the mega events we put on."
Mayweather, unbeaten in 46 fights, was reportedly keen to fight Khan in September, but the Englishman refused as he would not be fully fit because of the ****** fasting month of Ramadan.

Khan said: "It will be the biggest fight ever in Britain. Global interest would come to England and we'd sell out Wembley.
"I really want to bring this fight to the UK. I've fought all over the world and been top of bill but this would be so much bigger.
"They have done a fantastic job hyping Groves and Froch but this fight is on another level.

Floyd is boxing. Britain would shut down. It would be like the World Cup final of boxing."

Khan passed his so-called 'audition' by defeating Luis Collazo in impressive fashion on the undercard of Mayweather's fight Marcos Maidana in Las Vegas last month.

"Mayweather is an event from the moment the fight's announced until it ends. No other boxer does it better," added the former Olympic silver medallist.
"When he comes to the UK, I'm the only guy to fight him. My last win was a warning to the rest of the world and to fight Floyd soon would be massive. I'm the only guy."

Mayweather, meanwhile, says Khan is unlikely to break his winning streak.
"I respect Amir Khan as a professional and he's supposed to believe in himself," he said. "But for me, 46 men have tried to beat me and 46 have failed. No one has the formula to beat me.

"The Floyd Mayweather brand is globally recognised. The warm welcome over there in UK is a good indicator of the magnitude of success a fight would have.
"We're looking forward to it in the future."

It may make more sense than him promoting himself.

Maybe he thinks he really does needs a promoter to do the work for at least his next fight.

Then why was his team flirting with Barclays?

How does MGM look if Mayweather goes to Britain after Schaefer leaves GBP...after the Pacquiao/Bradley mess?

The problem is the Sun newspaper are the same ones who paid those girls to lie about Khan in order to sell their newspaper. This is most likely just another fabricated story. It's one of the trashiest papers ever let loose on the public.
