How many 33 year old men do you know with bad acne outbreaks and huge red zits all over their face? It's a little su****ious don't you think?

I don't see anything su****ious about it. I've never heard of steroids giving someone facial acne. Usually, the acne appears on the back, or chest. What you see in those pics might've been caused by headgear during those long sparring sessions. The sweat gets trapped and the material rubs against the fighter's forehead (which is where I see the little pimples on Cotto) potentially causing a breakout.

There's plenty of shit going on in sports nowadays. It's okay to be su****ious. But let's not try to find something everywhere we turn.

Am I the only one who doesn't see this so called HUGE size difference?

I don't know if you can call it huge, but it's significant. I agree that many of the presser photos don't seem to show a drastic difference in size, but these guys are wearing clothes and there's no accounting for footwear. (Martinez is listed as three inches taller than Cotto.) I think you'll see the size difference the night of the fight. Sergio will probably weigh somewhere between five and seven pounds more than Miguel. Let's not forget, that's solid weight, not blubber. At the highest levels, that kind of size advantage can really tell.

I don't think it will matter because of Sergio's style he fights with his knees bent and leaning in/forward with his hands down, he gives up a few inches and Cotto fights almost straight up with a high hard at times. In the ring they will look the same size.

Although I'm rooting for Cotto to win I think Martinez will take it.. Just too big.. But if Martinez puts his hands down like he's known to do then Cotto will tag him up.. Miguel isn't afraid to pull the trigger when needed...

Yeah, Sergio doesn't fight tall, but I'm thinking more along lines of power, and the ability to absorb it. There's a reason for weight classes. A difference of several solid pounds in weight increases the impact of punches delivered, and helps to mitigate the impact of force received. It's commonly known, but I've experienced this for myself in different sporting fields.

Of course, these aren't the only considerations. Many factors go into winning a boxing match. But, all things being equal (and one may say these guys are of comparable ability), size, and the power it confers, should make the difference. You know the old saying about the good big man beating the good little man. That's what many of us are banking on.

Martinez always fights with his hands down. Saturday will be no different.
