  • Comments Thread For: Arum: Pacquiao-Garcia Possible If Golden Boy Has Him

NEW YORK – Bob Arum is interested in making a Manny Pacquiao-Danny Garcia fight for November if Garcia is contractually committed to Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions.

The uncertainty regarding which Al Haymon-managed boxers actually are under contract with Golden Boy is perhaps the most important question that remains to be answered after Richard Schaefer’s departure from the company Monday. But if Garcia, as his father/trainer Angel Garcia has indicated, is indeed a Golden Boy boxer, Arum would seriously consider Garcia as Pacquiao’s next opponent – particularly if Mexican legend Juan Manuel Marquez isn’t interested in a fifth fight against Pacquiao.

This will be the key decision that could decide the Cold War. We'll see just how much Haymon really has his fighters interests at heart and not his own.

From an interest and casual stand point, the fight would be big, but from a hardcore boxing fan stand point, this fight doesn't interest me. All I see is Manny doing to Danny what Herrera did, except with heat seeking missiles, and an eventual ref stoppage.

If you can outbox Bradley, you're gonna terrorize Danny in the ring. Danny's power means nothing in this bout, because Manny won't have his chin in the air, and stay in the pocket with Danny like Amir. It'll be a clinic for as long as it goes.

Hahaha, now they fighting over Danny. Bob trying to be a pain in the ass for mayweather because of his lack of opponents.

porter is out, Danny and Maidana his only real options

Danny would be dizzy by the 5th round from being turned over and over
