I hope Lara dominates Canelo though.....I really would like Mayweather-Lara if that happens.

im guessing if he beats lara they can play up the catch weight and fight at 154 next time. Im sure open to it means a ton of thing would have to fall in place

You know boxing is circling the drain when you have fans defending/wanting this fight.

Its become all about flexing one's favorite side of the sport's rift. The actual science/fights mean less and less. What a shame.

I just don't know how Mayweather-Lara sells though.....

Mayweather did 850-900K with Guerrero and Maidana, who aren't big names but surely easier to sell than a cuban with a non fan friendly style.

Of course if Lara goes out on a PPV and beats Canelo's ass, perhaps he's more known then....

Let's say Cotto beats Martinez and Alvarez beats Cotto.

You bet your ass Mayweather's drooling at the chance to beat Alvarez again, this time for the middleweight title.

Floyd will just rematch Cotto instead. Bigger fight.

If Cotto beats Martinez, I could see Mayweather fighting Cotto again, even though a rematch isn't warranted there either.

I really don't want to see Floyd fighting at Middleweight. He's already solid at 147 but not big by any means, and tiny compared to real 154 fighters. At 160, it'd be like Donaire fighting at 135-140.
