I think he has had a great career and has fought all the toughest fighters in the weight classes he has fought in but... its time to hang it up before he gets seriously hurt.
Vic Darchinyan needs to hang it up after his last fight!

I'm sure your right. But the punches Nicholas Walters was catching Vic with would not have happened five years ago. It's just sad watching a world class fighter go out as a stepping stone.Comment

That fight could be more of a testament to how good Walters may possibly be, as opposed to how bad Vic has become.
I thought Vic looked really good against Donaire. He was hurting him, which is something Rigo wasn't really able to do with the same effect.
Maybe another gatekeeper-esque fight for him will may be the tell tale.Comment

Just hope that these accomplished boxers spend/save their money right and doesn't keep them in the ring solely because of financial reasons.Comment

I've loved watching Vic fight over the years but it's definitely time to call it a career. Especially after two knockouts losses back to back. He's had a great career, hopefully he's made enough money where he can live comfortably.Comment

Vic has done his bit in boxing, he cannot prove anything else now. His best days are behind him and for him to become a gatekeeper for the upcomers is not justifiable.
He used to come to fight, and put up a fight, it's people like Fraudley Harrison who I enjoy being seen beaten to a pulp for continuing to show his disgraceful mug with the "I'll be better than ever" line.Comment

I agree but I think the main problem for Vic is that he's too small for featherweight. He needs to move back down and he'll have much more success. However, he is clearly past his prime.
Also, Walters is a physical specimen. He has a 73 inch reach and very good punching power. It was a bad matchup for Vic given his age and size.Comment
