Well, he was right. Sometimes marriages can't be worked out and divorce is the only option.
Except the wife (let's imagine it's Oscar - which shouldn't be that hard) now finds out that all those fancy cars and house fittings and baubles you (the husband) paraded to make everyone knew you were the big player in town were all just.....on lease. Hired. At great cost.
And they'll all be going back to the mysterious woman who you suspect....hell, who you know, he has been shacking up with for the last 4 or 5 years.
And all that history the husband and wife have with each other, all the good intentions and hopes, somehow eroded in the last few years when hubby got seduced by that shady woman. And you just know she's bad news.
And you're gonna soon find out she made old hubby get a couple of mortgages on this great big house. And now you're up to your eyeballs in this ****, while he lives out some bizarre mid-life crisis with that woman and her sidekick (let's call her Flo).
