    what are gbp main assets?

what i am trying to work out is the competitive advantages golden boy promotions has over other promotional companies. with news that most fighters are not signed on their contract what resources does gbp have that others dont have access to? do they have tv contracts or something that would force al haymon to work with gbp?

they have oscar de la hoya. not only is he an ATG boxer but he is an ATG human being, has a infectious smile and personality and is now without a doubt the savior of boxing.

oscar de la hoya >>>>>>>> schaefer, haymon, floyd

history will remember him kindly and we should all send him our thanks.

They should still have the FS1 shows and Barclay's Center rights. I'm pretty sure Showtime is going to continue working with them. HBO has stated recently they'll let anyone fight on their network now.

The real question mark is if Haymon fighter's will continue to work with GBP... And if they do will they be willing to sign contracts that ties them down to GBP

They have the future PPV star and that is leverage my friend, same way Haymon leverage Mayweather against showtime etc to get them the best deals, Oscar can leverage Canelo to make things happen for them. Mayweather only got 2 years top left and then what all haymon fighters will be taking paycuts and be forced to fight each other so have of all tmt/haymon fighters would lose their hype and oscar will still be where he is at now.

Oscar owns Ring Magazine, GBP and numerous other personal assets.

Oscar De La Hoya......If push comes to shove I can see him and Chavev Jr. doing 1.5 million. Don't sleep Oscar is the GOAT of PPV. So I can see him gloving up to save his company

I think Oscar trusted Schaefer a little too much. Schaefer as CEO shouldn't have allowed this to happen. He didn't have the companies best interesting when he was doing this.

Anyways, according to Steve Kim there's at least four guys who are signed with GBP and Haymon . Khan, Maidana, Matthysse, and Omar Figueroa. Khan is already on record saying he isn't going to fight until after September, so I doubt we're going to hear anything from him for at least a few weeks. Figueroa just had his next fight announced... So at the very least, we know guys signed to both Haymon and GBP can fight. Hopefully we get more names soon
