        Yes... the handing out of super champ status deserves a little ridicule, but less than having Golovkin obliged to face Fletcher instead of Geale. Specially given that the new mando should now be Chudinov anyway.

        I say let's see Chudinov vs Fletcher in the meantime, which will at least prove either mando a little more deserving.

                This case is odd. WHen Gamboa got stripped of his IBF belt, he also got stripped of his WBA super title because you can't be a super/unified without another belt

                The World Boxing Association has stripped Yuriorkis Gamboa of his "super champion" title belt at featherweight. The World Championship Committee of the WBA agreed to take away the title because Gamboa did not comply with their regulations after he refused to defend his IBF title against Jorge Solis on March 26. Gamboa no-showed the second IBF weigh-in and they stripped him of the IBF belt. Because he was no longer a unified champion, he couldn't wear the the "super champion" title. He knocked Solis out that night.


                Ward got stripped of his WBC...but still WBA super.... WBA, making rules on the fly

                    You know what... nvm...He won the super world super mW titl from Kessler... so he was already a super champion.... this ish is confusing

                            This ain't news - Shumenov far outdid Golovkin in the ****** stakes when it came to declaring super champs - and he got to fight Bhop rather than just Geale on the back of it ffs.

                                Fletcher vs Chudinov?

                                Aw - yeah, I know it sucks but everyone knows the regular title is really just the interim title with bells on these days. Must confuse hell outta casuals though.
