I wouldn't say that. He beat Sylvester and Sturm in Germany and was considered the second best middleweight in the world until Golovkin Koed Macklin.

It would have been nice if Geale had fought Golovkin back when he had two belts. That way the belts would have stayed unified. But the belts may unify anyway if Sam Soliman is being serious about his wish to fight Golovkin.

Well the actual #1 contender is now free. I expect the WBA to have him fight Chuindov instead....wouldn't be surprised to see them move GGG to super and have them fight for the regular title. Chudinov will be a World champ and wouldn't have to fight Golovkin for a while....
