To my understanding, a knee device must contain a hard joint (metal or plastic) for it to be called a "brace." I've seen Martinez wearing what would be called knee "sleeves." They provide compression and heat, but not much in the way of support. I don't see why they shouldn't be allowed.Comment

Keeps the knee that bit more stable. I've worn them after knee injuries and they do help in the short term. They're almost like a safety net. Instead of your knee completely buckling when you get a dart of pain in it they give you a little bit more stability.
They won't prevent a serious injury, but they might stop a twinge turning into a fall or a bad sprain.Comment

I dont understand the reasoning behind it. How does not allowing a fighter to wear a knee brace make it safer? And his knee has to show damage for them to approve it? Also doesnt make sense.Comment
