  • Comments Thread For: Kessler: I Feel Very Confident of Beating Froch in Trilogy

Former champion Mikkel Kessler was ringside on Saturday night at Wembley Stadium in London, and watched Carl Froch retain his IBF/WBA 'regular' super middleweight titles with an eight round knockout of British rival George Groves.

Kessler (46-3, 35KOs) has not fought since losing a twelve round decision to Froch last May. The Danish boxer is currently training for a ring return in the fall. He handed Froch his first career defeat, a twelve round decision in April of 2010 and feels ready for a trilogy battle with the Nottingham boxer.

Trilogy fight could be very interesting but I'd like to see Kessler pick up Abrahams belt or Sakio Bikas to make it legitimate.

Not interested in seeing this fight again unless Kessler does something significant first. Right now, it's just a cash grab from him.

I doubt it,only way is if it's in Demark..TBH I really did not feel Kessler ever beat Froch..Although their first meeting was close and I could not be mad he got the nod,yet I truly believe Froch deserved the win..I would not mind seeing this, yet I do wanna see Kessler beat someone meaningful to get this fight..I mean Froch has been fighting animal after animal..While everyone else in this div get's lay ups..

no one is ever going to beat froch again. imo he is #2 p4p behind wlad.

he is just above the rest in terms of elite skill and defense, and he proved this by KO'ing a top contender and future P4P groves.

This fight leaves me feeling cold. Kessler hasn't been relevant for a while now where as Froch is at a career high. Kessler v Groves/Degale would be interesting though.

For Kessler a decider against Froch is what makes the most sense. Its up to Froch though. He can call the shots probably even as far as venue.

                  Nah, that chapter is closed.

I actually thought Froch won both fights, but the rematch was clear cut. Kessler can still have some big fights, but there's no need for him and Carl to go again.
