Yes, he has skillful traits. It takes a skilled pugilist to stay in fights with the best and land shots at the highest level, period.

Does he do one thing great? Probably not but he has a great beard, recovers quickly and even though he's slow, has good timing and pop.

The biggest thing that sticks out to me about Froch is his confidence, determination and heart.

I think Calzaghe would have abused him badly, but I don't think he would have stopped him.

Only someone who missed the Super Six altogether, and just saw Carl fight Groves, would question his ability. Is he the fastest? No. Best technical fighter you'll see? Of course not. Does he have skills that help him when in the ring? Obviously. Good punch and chin, with determination and flashes of very decent ring generalship.
