While I am a Froch fan who is very happy about the crushing defeat Groves suffered after having disrespected Froch, I really don't hope Groves is too hurt from it.

Groves got a fanfriendly and entertaining style with fast and powerful punches and he gave Froch a lot of problems. It would be nice if Groves tried to fight Robert Stieglitz, James DeGale, Andre Dirrell, Arthur Abraham or Sakio Bika next. He obviously got the skills to be in the ring with those guys right now.

His defense is not good enough to keep hard-hitting elite guys like Froch and Kessler away from his average chin and even though I think he could give Ward some trouble here and there (Ward's chin and power is average and Groves is faster than Froch and Kessler, styles makes fights), Ward would most likely win by an unanimous decision, he's just too slick and good at clinching at the right moments.

If he were to beat Stieglitz, DeGale, Dirrell, Abraham or Bika, then I would like to see him fight two more of them and then step up to fight whoever happens to be the best and most epic choice by then. He won't get to fight Froch again and probably not Kessler either, both will retire soon.

Groves would currently be a dangerous opponent to anyone at 168 lb, unless he is damaged goods now. His hands are lethal weapons, he just needs to get a proper defense and better stamina. If he got those two things under control, then Groves could become very, very dangerous.

He is young so he would have to rebuild, some one like GGG or Abraham would make for a good comeback fight, then take on the bigger fighters of 168.

I agree with everything you said, except that Groves should fight Golovkin, which I think he shouldn't. That fight wouldn't make sense until both of them have proven themselves a bit more, both of them might as well retire if they turn out to lose that one right now... Imagine Groves getting knocked out again already or Golovkin losing to what some would call "Froch's leftovers"... They should improve on their separate paths before colliding, but colliding now would be ******, it could likely even ruin one of their futures in the boxing game.
