I don't understand how boxing fans can hate Khan, the guy gives us great fight after great fight.
This is England, where racism is on the rise, especially aimed against Asians, most importantly ******s. Simple as that.

Idk why people have a false impression that Khan is arrogant? Cause he's not arrogant at all, Those who have met him in person always say that he's few of the most humble & nicest fighters out there, he doesn't bad mouth about his opponents and never use any swear words. I think he gets perceived in the wrong way and from the articles and headlines in the papers he comes off as a arrogant lad, while in reality he's just someone who truly believes in himself and his abilities like most of the other fighters out there.

Not really sure if you can say it was racism considering there were like 60,000 Froch fans in the Stadium and off course they're gonna boo Khan, since the beef among Khan and Froch is well known to everyone, Had it been Khan fighting in Bolton and if Froch was introduced at the Big screen he'd have gotten Booed aswell.
So...

Never seen him getting booed like that before. He normally gets a lots of cheers from the crowd in the States, Even when he was fighting Peterson in his Hometown i.e DC the boos weren't as bad as this one.
to be honest everyone was getting booed in the area, the crowd was clueless, from boo carl they became fans of his at the end.
everyone went crazy when bruno come on the screens.Last edited by stilltharow; 06-02-2014, 08:04 AM.

I agree with the poster who said he gets ''Perceived'' in the wrong way.
You can see that in his articles, they always extract the Juiciest headlines from his interviews and ignore the nice stuff he says.
He comes off as an arrogant guy though he does a lot of charity work for the community and owns a non-profitable Gym of his own to keep children off the streets. Sadly, these things doesn't get highlighted and only the negative stuff gets highlighted regarding Khan.

Granted Gonzalez was Virgil Hunters fighter, Khan walked out an American against a English fighter at Wembley, what did he expect? lol
