On Saturday night, BoxingScene.com posted a statement from Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (48-1-1, 32KOs), who made it known that he was ready to fight IBF/WBA 'regular' super middleweight champion Carl Froch (33-2, 24KOs) in the fall. Top Rank's CEO, Bob Arum, would like for Chavez to return in a major fight on September 13.

Following his dramatic one-punch knockout of George Groves before 80,000 fans in Wembley Stadium, Froch expressed his dream of headlining a big event in Las Vegas.

If chavez vs ggg was gonna be ppv I think froch is more credible for a ppv fight. Hes more known than ggg and has a bigger fan base. ggg cant sell 80,000 seats in Kazakhstan. Froch is a bigger draw.

I can imagine how pissed Ward would be if Froch fights Chavez Jr, not because he wants Froch, but he would have got a nice pay day against an seemingly easy opponent, though Froch seems like he will get there first.

Its all about patience, I doubt Ward gets mad for what?? He is undefeated, once he gets with a better promoter shyt will happen for him.. Froch deserves a Chavez jr. clash- he is getting up there - shyt he is about to be 37 - Ward just turned 30. the layoff /rest is doing Ward good, and he is probably adjusting his style a little to produce crowd pleasing performances since a lot of Boxing fans do not understand the sport like they think they do. Froch vs Chavez jr. will be a real tear up, Chavez is huge and can take a punch - Froch is a killer, but to me he will need to put in a performance the one did against Abraham, and wait for his opening, I don't think he should slug it out with Jr. - A inshape highly motivated JR is trouble for a lot of fighters, dude can take it and bring.. and he is a lot younger than Froch! But Froch has earned his destiny, his technique is horrible, but he gets it done, he can take a good shot, he listens to everything his corner tells him, but he needs to work on his Defense ! throwing combinations and not getting out the way from incoming fire is absurd, lack of head movement absurd.. But he proves the doubters wrong 95% of the time

Arum said that chavez is fighting on september 13 probably against froch. Wait floyd is fighting on sept 13 as well. Is Arum really going head to head against a mayweather card?
