König Palast in Krefeld, Germany - 40-year-old Sam Soliman (44-11, 18 KOs) captured the IBF middleweight championship with a dominating twelve round unanimous decision over Felix Sturm (39-4-2, 18 KOs) in their anticipated rematch. The scores were 118-110, 117-111 and 118-110. Soliman's workrate and awkward style was too much for Sturm to deal with. Every time Sturm was able to muster up a good combination, Soliman came swinging back with a flurry of punches from all angles.
