Wembley Stadium, London - Olympic gold medal winner James “Chunky” DeGale (19-1, 13 KOs) stopped previously unbeaten Brandon Gonzales (18-1-1, 10 KOs) in the fourth round of an IBF super middleweight final eliminator. After dominating much of the action, DeGale dropped Gonzales in the fourth and then the referee stepped in a bit too quick as DeGale was trying to finish with a knockout.
In a high-stakes IBF lightweight eliminator, Kevin Mitchell (38-2, 28 KOs) was down on the cards, but he came back in the eleventh round with a big stoppage over previously unbeaten Ghislain Maduma (16-1, 10 KOs). Mitchell rocked Maduma in the eleventh and then picked up two knockdowns before it was stopped.
