Cotai Arena, Venetian Resort, Macao, China - Nonito “Filipino Flash” Donaire (33-2, 21 KOs) won a four round technical decision to capture the WBA featherweight championship from Simpiwe “V12″ Vetyeka (26-3, 15 KOs). Donaire was cut over the left eye by an accidental headbutt in round one and dropped Vetyaka in round four. All three judges had it for Donaire after the fight was stopped before the fifth due to Donaire's cut.

WBA featherweight “regular” champion Nicholas “Axeman” Walters (24-0, 20 KOs) demolished for two-division king Vic “Raging Bull” Darchinyan (39-7-1, 28 KOs) with a brutal fifth round knockout.

All of these cut stoppages make me respect Cotto even more. Clottey cut him horribly and he fought the whole 12 like a champ. Oh and great job Walters!!!

You don't see many fighters today that takes there time and break a fighter down. Walters that guy ,I like to see him use his jab a little more. Good fighter still don't know about his chin.

Donaire fight was very suspect, they stopped the fight then let 2 secs run off to signal the 5th round, then went to the cards, I am a big Donaire fan, I know a member of his camp very well, very classey but this is corruption. Until fight fans stand up and demand transparency we are screwed.. Donaire was looking good, but shyt it was a little too biased for my liking. Vetyeka's camp was very sportsmanlike, but they got screwed and Donaire has some integrity because he is being proactive for the rematch, but here is where the funny business comes in, now Donaire is the champ so now he gets the 80% to the challengers 20% - top rank is a mutha...

I don't know what you're talking about. Letting the 5th round start was probably just a technical necessity to confirm that 4 rounds were completed. Are you suggesting that the fighters scripted the head-butt so that they can end the fight like that? Nonsense! Nobody wants to see a fight end that way. Especially not Donaire - hence the confirmation of a rematch.
