What score did you have it before the KO?

I had it 68-65 Groves (5 rounds to 2). I thought he was quite obviously pot-shotting the first half of the first to converse energy, and was coming on stronger in from the 7th. Am I going crazy thinking he was up that far?

Jim Watt was a complete nightmare tonight. I had no idea what he was watching. Paulie, normally a brilliant commentator, seemed to be reluctantly ****** into Watt's nnsense and wasn't himself.

Hell, I thought it was hilarious when they tried to lead Khan into a narrative of Froch being dominant and he went the other way (one of the rare times when Amir has made sense lately).

    Your scores?

I had it 5-2 as well, Groves was outboxing him for most of the fight before getting caught.

I had it 5-2 Froch, Groves constantly on the backfoot, Froch was dictating the whole fight and neutralizing everything Groves was trying to do simply by using his jab effectively.

The commentator wasn't trying to lead Khan into anything everyone watching it with me was like "oh he meant Froch right?" then Khan specified and we were like "Wtf is he watching?".

I had it 4-3 Froch but Groves winning the 8th until the KO.

Jim Watts was out of control again, except this time it was in Froch's favor. I think he only had Groves win 1 out of the first 5 rounds.

            Already a thread on this.

I had Froch ahead, but close rounds, many of them could have gone either way.

68-65 Froch, he held the centr of the ring for the whole of the fight, out jabbed and had the better flurrys.

That's a good point....in the first fight, he was massively pro-Groves. This fight, he was riding Carl. Then in the 7th of this fight, Groves lands a solid left hand that hurt/unbalances Froch, and he's back on pro-Groves form. One simple punch changing the narrative.

It's like there always has to be one fighter doing really badly, or one doing amazing (he usually focuses on the struggling fighter angle).

I've avoided Sky Sports commentary for so long because primarily of him that I had actually forgotten how bad he is.

GG clearly had the better jab.

Groves got the better of all the flurries up to rd5.

Groves won rd 1-4 and 6. I was reading that people had Froch ahead because he was standing in the center of the ring and getting punched in the face. Great reasoning.
