well the final knockout was fine but honestly that referee was worrying me EARLIER when Froch did a flurry on Groves on the ropes a few rounds previous to that and the ref was all up in there like he was about to stop the fight AGAIN on some bull****..
At the heat of the moment it initially looked like Groves was gonna stir up another controversy since he tried to rush back up. But he was clearly out on his feet and luckily he didn't complain, which settles it.
My objection is to the ref specifically, not to the result or the fighters. Groves wasn't going to beat the count and even if he did he would have just been knocked down again. Let it happen on its own. Why count to 3 then hold him down? For attention?
It seems like refs get really excited when its time for them to do something in front of those huge crowds and blow their load a bit quickly.
