Comments Thread For: Sturm-Soliman II Early Results: Kentikian Gets TKO

König Palast, Krefeld, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany - WBA female flyweight champion Susi Kentikian (34-2, 17KOs) dominated challenger Dan-Bi Kim (9-3-1, 2KOs) over nine rounds, getting her first stoppage victory in six years. Kentikian controlled the action in every single rounds and then unleashed a big flurry of shots in the ninth round, pounding away until Kim's own corner had seen enough and threw in the towel to stop the contest.

Sturm is just a poser without any punching power. He was so lucky to win the title against Barker who had to quit because of an injury. Now a mediocre guy like Soliman showed him his limits.

Not a big surprise at all... I picked Soliman to win the rematch. If anyone watched the first Sturm fight they know that Sturm faded badly in the 2nd half of the fight. He couldn't keep up with Soliman.

Sturm started off blazing fast against Barker, and set a pace that he would not be able to maintain had the fight went into the later rounds. Unfortunately Barker's hip gave out. Had that fight lasted to the 2nd half I think Barker would have won that fight.

This fight was a repeat of the last one, expect without the knockdown and Soliman dominated.

Ding dong the Sturm is dead!

No more holding a middleweight belt hostage in Germany.

Amazing the pace Sam maintained...good win..2 bad Susi is afraid 2 leave Germany...imagine the quality of fights she could get in MX, most she would lose, IMO...

Does Daniel Geale decide to fight Sam Soliman now in Australia instead of taking on Gennady Golovkin? This might help actually make Carl Froch vs. Gennady Golovkin or Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. vs. Gennady Golovkin.

Though, if Froch & Chavez, Jr. decide to fight each other instead, then Golovkin is left without an opponent again. Might have to take a look at Martin Murray again or Marco Antonio Rubio.
