lara is a runner and nothing wrong with that, like you said as long as he wins...Let's get one thing straight: Lara is not a runner. By contrast, "Titere" Vazquez is a runner. Your definition of a boxer is someone who stands mostly in the center of the ring and gets the better of exchanges? That's your opinion, nothing more. If it were so, only the most gifted athletes could ever aspire to being "boxers." And where in my referenced post did I say Canelo is a brawler? You are consistently seeing things that aren't there.
floyd is a great boxer, he can stand and be slick without always running, lara cant do that...Comment

lara him self cares about fans recognition, this is proboxing not the olympics, its all about the fans, is the fans who carry the sport... lara calls him self the american dream for a reason... and i dont blame a single fan who prefers to watch canelo-kirkland over lara-molina... but let the laras of the world keep winning and then cry about not getting opportunities on tv and big paychecks...It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why guys like Rigo, Lara and Vazquez aren't stars. They never will be, either. And you know what? I don't care. It makes no difference to my life whatsoever. But, in my opinion, true fans of the sport -- as opposed to fanboys -- acknowledge the point of all sport: to win. Everything else is show. It's certainly nice, but I'll let the fanboys, the chicks and the casuals worry about all that.
dam, even feather fisted trout showed more commitment for the fans than lara, but i guess the cuban likes to get booed on empty arenas...Comment

There is some truth to this. On the other hand it must be acknowledged that a close decision in Alvarez' favor is not automatically a bad decision.
It's probably a moot point anyway because Canelo is gonna put the highschool beat down on Lara who will take it like a man til he gets KTFO in the tenth.

I'm certain Lara cares, anyone would. But Landy doesn't care enough to go out on a limb. That whole "American Dream" thing is promotional bullshit. DeCubas is just trying to drum-up anything that'll help promote his boy, just like all the trash talk he spouts that gets attributed to Lara.lara him self cares about fans recognition, this is proboxing not the olympics, its all about the fans, is the fans who carry the sport... lara calls him self the american dream for a reason... and i dont blame a single fan who prefers to watch canelo-kirkland over lara-molina... but let the laras of the world keep winning and then cry about not getting opportunities on tv and big paychecks...

You're right, you either win and get overlooked, or take chances and get paid. I repeat, however, it makes no real difference to me. My life goes on. It doesn't improve if Landy becomes a star, and it doesn't worsen if he disappears from the sport. Hell, there weren't even any Cubans fighting as pros until not too long ago.Comment

it makes no difference in my real life either, nothing but a boxing topic, but this is a boxing forum after all.. anyways just wanted to let clear that in pro boxing how you win actually matters, its the fans who pay their hard earned money who decide who gets the big bucks... still great that canelo is giving lara a chance so that us hardcore boxing fans can see the best fight the best...I'm certain Lara cares, anyone would.
