Comments Thread For: Team Canelo: Lara Will Need Luck To Avoid a KO Loss

Chepo Reynoso, trainer and co-manager of Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (43-1-1, 31KOs), is confident his fighter will overcome WBA 'regular' junior middleweight champion Erislandy Lara (19-1-2, 12KOs). The match is scheduled to headline a Showtime Pay-Per-View event on July 12th from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Canelo is training hard in California, and getting help from Brazilian Olympian Yamaguchi Falcao.

For his part, Lara promised to take Canelo to the "Cuban school of boxing."

I'm going with Lara on this one, but I'm not 100% confident. If Canelo wins, then this will be his finest moment in his boxing career to this point.

Lara is considered lucky for having landed the fight. In the ring Canelo is going to find out there is a bit more than just luck with Lara.

Lara UD, if they make lara an underdog thats a license to print free money.

Canelo has more than a punchers chance, but lara is an exceptional boxer
