has anybody ever been? going to new york for the fight next week and considering renting a car and driving there. is it worth it? easy to get pictures with all the fighters?

Hell yeah its worth it. Awesome times u can get pics and autographs with all the boxers old and new. And this years class is legit trinidad de la hoya and calzaghe! !! Plus I know erik Morales and andre ward r hoing to be there. I usually go Friday and Saturday. But im going sunday too for the parade and induction speechesComment

I go every year almost. Driving from NYC to canastota,NY (upstate NY) is quite a drive. The hall of fame is really in the middle of no where, its about 25-30 mins from Syracuse,NY. And the hall of fame itself (where the robes,trunks,cast fist etc) are is VERYYY SMALL it looks like a small shack. But they do have a big a stage where they do the inductions and speeches. There is hotels right across the street and some bars and restaurants the most famous one being Grazianos where all the boxers will go to eat. If you're a big boxing fan i'd definitely say that its worth it, especially with this years class. Also there is a casino about 10-15 mins away called turning stone casino (ESPN FNF was just there a few weeks ago) so you could look into that as another option as well. Have fun!Comment

yeah the drive is what's holding me back. i already have my room booked in new york. so i would have to drive there and back the same day.Comment
