Heads up, all these guys care about is if floyd gets money. Thats boxing to them. Its what they'll tell you over and over and over. "boxing is a business".I will acknowledge that 2013 was a great year for boxing, but 2014 has been less than stellar and the trend is heading downward. Sure, we have several good fights coming up...but the biggest are all PPV, just like it used to be around 2004-2010.
Showtime/Schaefer/Haymon made 2013 be fantastic for a couple reasons; they invested big time in Mayweather and needed to try to attract many more subscribers and get big PPV numbers. As such, we got several great cards on Showtime and the stacked Mayweather-Canelo card.
Now they are struggling to put big cards on Showtime and the PPV undercards are not going to be as strong. They built up some good will last year but this year it is tapering fast.
As for Stevenson, the reason HBO didn't buy the Fonfara fight is because there was still no guarantee that Kovalev would be next. They still bid on the fight, it's just that Haymon got Showtime to outbid HBO for it. I don't think anyone can blame HBO for that, nor can that look back in retrospect and say, "That was a very good fight!" because no one thought Fonfara was going to be that competitive.Comment

Go easy on him. Just a few months ago, he was a PED/family counseling/travel/legal expert. Hes got quite a few hats to wear.lol keep posting more garbage and copy-pasting things you don't understand. why don't you go and ask an expert investor you're talking about and mention to him the term you just invented "long-term liquidity"? either he laughs at your ****** face or would get a blank stare wondering what the hell you're talking about.
you think googling and copy-pasting would save your ****** post?

According to floyd boys, its better to lose money short term.Warren Buffett's Rules of Money Management
1. Don't lose money.
2. Don't forget Rule 1.
SHO are losing millions and have nothing to show for it. They guy the grossly overpaid is posting ******** pictures on twitter and starting riots at Fatburger.
SHO thought that after Pacquiao vs Mosley did 1.3 million with barely any promotion than they could sign Floyd and it would be the same thing. They were completely wrong.
Floyd ain't on Pacquiao's level and never will be.Comment

No, I'm referring to the Showtime cards like Canelo-Trout, Garcia-Judah, Malignaggi-Broner, Matthysee-Peterson, Broner-Maidana, Mares-Gonzalez.You keep mentioning 2013. SHO had barely anything for subscribers last year, while HBO was pumping out non-PPV fights week after week in the last quarter of last year. SHO had no answer for it. You're confusing PPV fights with subscription-based fights. I repeat, PPV fights are not for subscribers.Comment

A collection of morons .. as if NSB don't have enough. No data to support anything stated, just regurgitated BS ... typical!
Also, you got me confused with someone else btw. A "few months ago" I was away @school and had no time to post on this site with you knuckleheads.Comment

I doubt that. His business has taken a hit, and maybe a little side dish of Schaefer and Haymon cooking something on the side.Just so you know, and you don't waste your time trying to figure it out. There are people who post here that are going to side with Mayweather no matter what the circumstances. In this case, since Scheafer and Haymon have helped propel floyd to his status today, these people are going to try and make DLH look bad. But if floyd was siding with Oscar, they'd side with Oscar too. They follow every move of floyds. Floyd doesn't like Oscar, they don't like Oscar. So they are going to bash him, even when its clear hes trying to do something good for the sport.
I doubt DLH would do business with Arum unless he needed to, it's just to a point where he might have to.
