Comments Thread For: Carl Froch: Groves Rejected Trilogy Clause in Contract

IBF/WBA 'regular' super middleweight champion Carl Froch does not expect a trilogy fight with domestic rival George Groves. This coming Saturday night at Wembley Stadium in London, 80,000 fans will pack the house to watch the two boxers get it one for a second time. Last November, Froch defeated Groves with a controversial ninth round stoppage.

Why should anybody be surprised at all?

Hopefully, Froch does finish the job properly this time.

I put money on Groves to win but dunno im starting to have doubts. The smack Groves has been talking and now this makes him look very unsure of himself.

I would read nothing in to this.
I'm going to be backing Carl.

You would normally bet with the guy with a proven solid chin, who has knock out power in both hands, has proven stamina and the championship experience but what makes this fight such a pick' em is how Groves was able to dominate and of all things take away Froch's jab.
With this said the way I think Froch wins is if he gets right on Groves from the off and forces Groves in to a dog fight and of course there is always the nagging doubt of Groves ability to stay the course with froch over the championship rounds.I slightly favour Froch but I would not be overly surprised if Groves himself is able to force a stoppage.
I hope this sets a bench mark to all other fighters and their promoters for them too to be involved in these sort of pick'em fights that us the fans miss so often!

Regardless the outcome of the rematch, the trilogy clause is only favoring Froch.
The Ugly Kid took the right decision.

Hmm why would Froch be talking about a trilogy if he was confident of winning this weekend? I honestly believe deep down he know's he's getting KO'D.
