A bit yeah, I just rewatched it. Got clipped mid swing throwing a left uppercut and got hit with a hook and just dropped and couldnt make the count. I haven't seen much of his chin tested. I only saw him fight once on FNF.

He's got an alright shot, some people arent sold on Ruslan either but theres no doubting his will to win and I just don't think a guy like Algeri is ready for that.

If Algeri loses this fight I'm sure he'll start thinking about putting his degree to work instead of taking shots to the head again. But he's got about a 4-5" height advantage and 6" reach advantage on Ruslan. Likes to box, I just don't know if he'll be willing to FIGHT Ruslan for the title. I don't think he'll win on the outside because Ruslan will keep stalking.

People are too quick to dismiss unknowns/ESPN fighters. Remember when Ruslan went from ESPN to fighting Bradley and nobody gave him a shot cause of it? But we all know what happened.

I think a similar scenario is going to happen to Algeri. He's going to want to prove to his NY crowd and the boxing world hes a top fighter by beating this beast in Ruslan. Its just going to get him hurt bad like Ruslan hurt Bradley.

I read the article about Algieri being a kickboxer, looked it up and found this to be the only footage of him with a proper camera work and thought I should share it with the boxing community. Plus it ends with a KO.

Nothing to do with his chin or anything just a cool video I thought was thread worthy. That's all.

Anybody who gets clipped on the chin can be knocked down. Algieri was 20-0 as a pro kickboxer in sanctioned events including 2 world titles. This wasn't a sanctioned kickboxing event anyway...was some form of tournament. Algieri rematched this guy in a sanctioned bout and beat his ass.

Ruslan is not hype. He was a dude with no name who earned his respect by being in Fight of the Year in his first World Title fight.
