There is absolutely zero comparison between the Floyd/Pac marquez fightss

People who suggest Floyd would have success against Pac because he had success against Marquez (who obviously always gives Pac a tough fight) know absolutely nothing about boxing. The concept of 'styles make fights' is just beyond them.
And no Floyd and Marquez aren't 'similar', contrary to common opinion. They're both good at countering, but they're COMPLETELY different types of counter punchers. Marquez is an aggressive counter puncher, Floyd is not. Floyd counters with single shots, Marquez counters in combinations.
Marquez throws WITH Pacquiao, he trades, Floyd would never do that if they fought.
You can't beat Pacquiao by throwing a few single counters per round and a couple of jabs to the gut, Pac would simply outwork and overwhelm you. Anyone who understands boxing can see that.

Styles make fights....
Pac is an aggressive fighter, therefore Marquez does well against him as a counter puncher.
Mayweather is a counter puncher as well, but wasn't going to come forward vs Marquez even if Jesus came back for the end of the world.
So Marquez was forced into a fight that wasn't to his advantage.
Pac and Marquez know each other like the back of their hands, so we will get a great fights no matter how many times we see them go at it. Pac is the better athlete, Marquez the better boxer.
It's really not that complicated.

. If Pac troubles Mayweather, it will be with mostly an entirely different set of attributes. Speed, footwork, explosiveness.
People might be quick to say Pac uses awkward angles and, at his best, throws a lot of volume, but they are leaving out what else Maidana did to trouble Mayweather. And honestly, as far as awkwardness goes.. I'd say Maidana is still king of that category. Pac is a southpaw that throws with speed doing a lot of lunging in and lunging out. That is awkward as a sum of its parts but as for the actual shot selections by themselves, Maidana angles are far more awkward..
My biggest issue with the Pac match up is that jab jab straight left can be timed.. on the jab, or on the left hand itself. Pac's explosive in and out movement can be used against him by a capable counter puncher. Floyd will see all of this. If Pac goes into a fight aware of this glaring tactical disadvantage, he will do better. But who knows he might could just blast May out the water cuz:
One thing Pac and Maidana both have , at their best, is a never say die attitude, Pac has to be knocked out and I'm not convinced Floyd can do it. That "you have to kill me" attitude is perhaps the most important thing to carry into a fight with Floyd.

Are you people stupid? Floyd vs Pac has always been a mismatch and always will be. Two different level of fighters.

1. Floyd convincingly beat JMM.
2. Manny's wins are questionable.
Let's just examine the two fights.. Mayweather never really put the pedal to the medal against Marquez because he knew Marquez remained dangerous even when knocked down. He didn't go for the kill. The only reason Pac got knocked out is because he was going for the kill against Marquez. He basically gift wrapped his chin for that right hand, due to his Zeal and aggression. What is something Marquez had to do to land that shot? Take fire. He had to stand in there to lure Manny into a full all out attack then dropped the thumper on him. Well May doesn't do that. He won't just take fire he's too busy potshotting and trying not to get hit. As a result he can never maneuver himself and set his feet to land a similar shot that Marquez landed. It won't happen. He will land on Pac plenty from the outside but that is not the same thing. A lot of that will be partially blocked and/or anticipated by Pac. Any counters May lands in close will be strictly AFTER he dodges a shot. His whole fight mentality of defense first then attack detracts from his attack. Simple as that. That's why I'm not convinced he can knock Pac out. He doesn't have the mentality for it.
Also should they ever fight it's anyone's guess who would win a close decision. This isn't Chino who can be shafted to a certain extent because of the nature of how Boxing gravitates to favoring those who are the face of a brand, Pac has a very large following and is loved by many. A close decision would be up for grabs for either man.
Probably why May doesn't want to fight him... right there.
