Promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed Charlie Fitch will referee Carl Froch v George Groves II at Wembley on Saturday night.

Lengthy discussings, negotiations and objections over the official have been brought to an end after the IBF threw out a late objection from the Groves camp and confirmed Fitch would take charge.

The first fight between the two British super-middleweights was stopped controversially by Howard Foster Junior but Hearn remains confident there will be no repeat with the IBF and WBA titles again on the line.
