does anyone actually have prove that showtime is losing money?

Except for Pac-Mosley then it was:
HBO - bad and being replaced by Showtime and 24/7 sucks
Showtime - good and the future of televised boxing in the US. Strongest network backed by CBS.Comment

Incomplete information. What's boxing's footprint at the network? With Floyd being such a draw you'd think that if it were driving revenues it would get acknowledged.http://www.nytimes.com/2014/05/09/bu...time.html?_r=0
We know that they're profitable, at the very least, which means they aren't losing money as suggested on this website.
"CBS said growth at cable networks was driven by revenue generated by Showtime, CBS Sports Network and Smithsonian Networks."
What's argued frequently on here is Showtime's Floyd PPV's aren't profitable. These articles don't tell us anything in regard to that.Comment

Do you have proof that Floyd's PPVs aren't profitable? I just gave you proof that says that showtime remains profitable. I'm willing and able to provide more proof if you can provide one shred of factual proof on your end that says otherwise.
I thought the argument like 1 week ago was that Floyd was going to put showtime out of business, btw?Comment

Of course it affects us all. If showtime, one of the two major networks decreases the boxing budget because they are losing money in the process. It affects even youComment

I think this just shows how small boxing really is in the scheme of things. Showtime Sports is just a part of Showtime which itself is a even smaller part of CBS. Even if Showtime Sports is losing a lot of money if the rest of Showtime does well I guess it doesn't really matter. At this point gaining market share is more important.http://www.nytimes.com/2014/05/09/bu...time.html?_r=0

You hit the nail on the head. It really DOESN'T matter, which is the entire point. People only started talking about how much networks gain or lose during a ppv event after Floyd signed his deal, which is sad.I think this just shows how small boxing really is in the scheme of things.
