GEORGE GROVES has thrown his Wembley rematch with Carl Froch into chaos by objecting to the referee.

American referee Charlie Fitch was appointed last Tuesday by the IBF and British Boxing Board of Control, but Groves' team reckon he is not up to it.

The Londoner, 26, made his complaint official yesterday morning but he may be too late.

The British Board require all officials to undergo strict medical tests before taking charge of contests in this country and Fitch, whose last world title fight was in 2012, passed his last week.

Just more mind games i'd imagine. I reckon Groves's team knew the were going to reject the new ref, as soon as Hearn rejected the first one the other week.
Froch's team probably knew they were going to reject the first ref as soon as Groves said no to British refs/judges , and then the polish judge.

Both fighters probably aren't actually that bothered and aren't giving it much thought.
