Puerto Rican prospect Felix "El Diamante" Verdejo allowed the press to watch him train, as he continued to prepare for his upcoming return scheduled for the 7th of June at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Verdejo (12-0, 9 KOs) takes on Mexican Engelbert "Guarura" Valenzuela (8-1, 3 KOs) in a six round bout. I'm not sure what Danny Garcia has to do with this thread,
But Felix is the most gifted Puerto Rican prospect I have ever seen, the offensive tools are extremely good and his balance is very good, I need to see him move his head more. Time will tell if he has the chin and heart to become a work champion

Good fight for exposure, no real challenge. If verdejo loses this... He won't lose, but he needs work and this guy looks like a few good rounds on paper. A good chance to guage progress, but deffinately, not a move up.

Verdejo is truth! Kid has tons of talent is the Puertorican People's hope, our biggest prospect with a real chance of making it.

                War Verdejo!

I like the kid, but way too much publicity for a kid that is just fighting 6 rounders. Way too much hype.

Nobody was crying when Canelo had 40 fight of nothing but taco vendors, taxi drivers and tortilla makers.

Fugg, who you want him to fight? Manny? Garcia?

Dude only being a pro for a little more than a year.
