Doncaster's Jamie McDonnell admits fighting on the undercard of Carl Froch-George Groves II at Wembley Stadium will be a special occasion for him.

McDonnell is bidding to become a two-time world champion when he faces Pan Asian boxing champion Tabtimdaeng Na Rachawat of Thailand for the vacant WBA bantamweight strap.

The 28-year-old was stripped of the IBF title he won after defeating Julio Ceja at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium last year after a subsequent contractual breach.

McDonnell joined Carl Froch at a public work-out in Nottingham on Monday where he insisted he is desperate to once again become a world champion.

I dont care how cheap the tickets were compared to US tickets, an 80k crowd is fkin bananas. And the US public will get to witness it.

Does anyone know how well HBO is promoting this fight?

I cannot stand british fighters like jamie Mcdonald. He only wins fights because his opponents are severely overmatched.
