Comments Thread For: Hopkins-Stevenson Deal Won't Be Hard, Says Michel

Promoter Yvon Michel, who handles WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson (24-1, 20KOs), has no doubt that a deal can be reached for a unification with IBF/WBA champion Bernard Hopkins (55-6-2, 32KOs).

Right now the timeline for the anticipated unification is unknown. Stevenson injured his left hand during Saturday's tough twelve round decision victory over Polish challenger Andrzej Fonfara.

Of course Coward Stevenson and his duck team could make it easily... they've been working on this all along. Hey, as long as they don't get to fight Kovalev, all is good.

I hope Duva wins the lawsuit and drags Stevenson into a hell of an ass beating.

        Bernard will school Stevenson.

        Kovalev will knock Stevenson out.

Stevenson is a frontrunner. No wonder he ducked Kovalev. Hopkins will outlast this dude too. Superduck's near the end of his career. His handlers are playing him like a fiddle for their bottom line.

Good way to cap off a truly legendary career.

I truly believe Hopkins stops him.

I don't see why everybody thinks Stevenson is scared of Kovalev. Stevenson might be flawed but his speed, power, and athleticism gives every fighter problems. Even someone like Kovalev. That left hand is very hard to slip and he throws it straight and fast. You can't automatically assume Kovalev could automatically take the beating Fonfara took last night. Come back and take the fight to Stevenson. If waiting for Stevenson to punch himself out is the recipe to beating him good luck withstanding that punch out put.
