"The Cumbrian Cyclone" Darren Askew is ready to test himself against tough Indonesian Eddy Comaro on the under card of "Smithy Brings the big fights 7" on July 4 at Rumours International, Toowoomba.
Askew, the current Queensland junior welterweight champion and Victorian junior middleweight champion, who hails from Cumbria, England, has been on a good run of late having won his last four fights straight since moving to Toowoomba and joining trainer Brendon Smith. Comaro, who is well known to Toowoomba boxing fans after losing a tough TKO to Michael Katsidis in March, will mark the toughest test Askew has had to date. This has not deterred Askew though who said he is excited to make a statement.
