I kind of liked Groves, but here he just comes across as a demented brat. Kept staring at Froch like a dead fish and made himself look ******.
    He's trying too hard.

Groves likes to try come across intelligent in these head to heads and press conferences, but he does anything but that IMO.

If Froch isn't digging himself holes or getting angry then Groves has nothing to go on. He spent most of the time staring into space with his mouth open.

I'd assume Froch is still pretty angry inside, but he played a poker face and didn't give Groves what he wanted. He dealt with it easily i thought. Groves had to resort to ending the face-off with that cringeworthy 'handshake' to try gain a sense of control.

I loved how every time Froch told Groves to do something he's immediately take the bait and refuse to do it

Froch was well served by just dropping the arrogance and chilling out. Pomposity doesn't suit him.

            I agree with this.

Groves looked like he was lost for words and couldn't really handle Froch's new cool demeanour.

Firstly I hate Groves...Froch is certainly handling Groves a lot better in the build up this time around, however watching the fight again tonight I still can't see how Froch beats him unless Groves gasses, Groves was first to the punch everytime last fight and picking him off at will, that said I truly hope Foch ko's him convincingly.

Groves spent the whole time looking in disbelief that his mind games weren't working this time round. He kept trying to pull new tricks out, the handshake pull was his last attempt to gain the psychological edge but even that failed.

Froch is right, the first fight was one of his worst displays in quite a while, and it didn't seem to have much to do with Groves' fighting style (unlike Andre Dirrell), more to do with Froxh losing his composure and coolness-he completely lost the ability to jab in the first fight. It was a shocking display and if the real Carl Froch turns up, controls distance with his jab and sets up his combos properly rather than having to walk through a right hand first, Groves in in trouble.

froch really got the better of him.

he was pissed, dont get me wrong. but its like cus d'amato said. anger is like fire, under control its a great benefit that can keep you warm and heat your food. but uncontrolled it can burn down your house and physically harm you.

in the first fight froch didnt have control of his anger but he does this time. its serving as a motivator but not getting in the way of his ability to make rational decisions.

groves kept trying to wind him up, make him doubt himself etc but nothing worked. he was left gazing into his eyes for any sign of weakness but it never appeared. as a result i thought i saw some nervousness and maybe even doubt in groves' eyes.

come fight night i expect him to be fully confident, but he wont have any mental edge on froch unless something happens during fight week. i cant wait for this fight

Yeah, Froch definitely got the better of it in this one...Groves seriously looked lost and a bit gone mentally at times. The whole handshake and pulling was cringeworthy from both men for sure, though.

Why is Groves staring with wet dog eyes all the time?
