Rios gets beat down bad this time..Let's not forget Diego hits hard and was outboxing Thurman every round until Keith landed that hard body shot..

You must have been watching a different fight, Chaves was at least a few rounds down on the cards when he got stopped.

If Chaves can stop a resilient guy like Rios, it says a lot about his power.

Can't understand why Rios gets any attention. The guy is nothing more than a human punching bag. Zero skills and those that say he has balls should be corrected.....he has no brains. So over this guy.

Gotta see this one. Rios might finally get KO'd.

This reminds me a lot of Paul Williams making the mistake of taking on Lara after a loss. It's a terrible career choice for Rios. Chavez is a real talent at 147. He can box, punch and take a shot. Rios will be made to look very average in this fight. Eventually being knocked out. Chavez wins in a somewhat easy victory in my opinion.

Surprised everyone seems to think Chaves will handle Rios easily. He's obviously a more polished fighter but he's going to have to walk through hell to beat Rios. It's still questionable whether Chaves has the mentality of a "fighter" and if his power is legit. Sure he's piled up numerous ko's but I highly doubt he can hurt Rios.

I like Rios in this matchup. I think he'll take a beating but win a war of attrition.

Everyone can get hurt, Rios is no exception. Alvarado hurt him a little bit in their rematch. Chaves is a strong welterweight and probably a bigger puncher than Alvarado.

This is a dangerous fight for Rios and he can't afford to lose. I'd say it's a curious choice of opponent (knowing Top Rank) but he's in a tough spot: if you put him against a decent boxer, he may get outboxed, if you put him against a brawler it will be another war only we don't how many wars Rios has left in him.

Lets hope his return goes well because Chavez is a very good fighter and he definitely has immense power.
I agree Chavez is a pretty good fighter, and after re-watching him against Thurman a couple of times, I think Thurman was lucky to have beat him. Chavez on three different occasions just missed KO shots by a whisker. IF they had landed, many would be looking at this guy in a totally different light. This could be a possible FOY candidate, Can't wait!
