But regarding Marquez, let's see... Pacquiao is 35, Thurman is 25, Kovalev is 31. Let's see if any of these guys, when they are almost 41 like JMM is, will still take all the "tough fights". Well maybe Kovelev will because he is a light heavyweight and heavy boxers they have way more longevity than lighter ones. But still, all the fighters you mentioned are much younger than Marquez so your "cowardice" statement doesn't really apply to Marquez. He and his trainer are considering retirement simply because the guy is already too old to be competitive, not because he is a ducker or quitter, why can't people understand such a simple and logical reason?
If he wants to retire fair enough, but if wants to continue and the reason for not fighting Pacquiao is because it is a tough fight then that is a poor excuse for a boxer.

He can't even claim he is choosing another fight for his retirement fund because the Pacquiao fight earns him far more than any other fight out there and it also gives him the chance to win his 4th weight title.

No need for a 5th fight. Let the whinny fight another bum for a coin and get another loss. The KO didn't affect Pacquiao's legacy at all and just beat the fighter in one sided fashion who gave Marquez a butt schooling. The fights were 2-1-1 in Pacquiao's favor. Just leave it like that but if Marquez wants a big retirement pay and legacy to be the first 5 weight divisions Mexican champ. He needs to gather his balls again and fight Pac. Anyway, why he is so afraid of the guy he already koed and gave all sorts of problem in their previous fights? This is the most logical fight for him if he needs money and glory.
