Comments Thread For: Nacho: Pacquiao 5 Would Be a Hard, Very Difficult Fight

Trainer Nacho Beristain says a fifth bout between Juan Manuel Marquez and Manny Pacquiao is nothing more than a money grab. He says another battle between the two fighters adds no value to the sport, and it ruins the historic ending of the fourth meeting from 2012 - where Marquez finally had his hand raised with a sixth round knockout of Pacquiao.

He feels strongly that a fifth fight would very brutal for both boxers, because Pacquiao would be hungry to get revenge for knockout loss. Top Rank is targeting a date of November 8, in Macau, for a fifth meeting.

Nacho is openly ducking the fight. To back up his ducking words, he was saying in the Bradley 24/7 he's essentially terrified of Manny's temper.

I respect nacho's thoughts. He is an OG of a trainer. Truly one of the most astute trainers in history.

mannys "temper" lol an interesting way to put it, yes that intensity is what almost got jmm out of ther but at the same time, played right into jmm counter righthand.

Hearing Nacho say that makes the fight even more appealing...

Nacho indirectly admitted it would be a brutal war from start to finish in fight #5, and who don't wanna see that? No doubt JMM would be giving it ever little bit of gumfph he had to get that 5th title, not even his hero JCC Sr. can claim that feat so he'd be ****in' pullin' out all the stops. On the same token Pac is probably gonna be super pissed and look to smash Juan's nose worse than he did before and look to rip his little head off. If Nacho believes it would be terrible, brutal, whatever then sounds like that's what we got to look forward to if they fight again.

Pac's hunger and going for broke in the last fight was what got him laid out flat on the canvas. So doesn't that play perfectly into JMM's hands?

Pac vs Khan would do good PPV numbers. Arum said he could make that fight happen working with Oscar. So why isn't it higher than Pac-JMM 5 on the priority list?

This is what the list should look like:

              Floyd
              Khan
              Provo
Cotto 2 (if he beats Sergio)
              JMM 5

Add Canelo to the 2nd spot for next year

Pac-JMM isn't about entertaining the fans anymore. It's become a ******** addiction for Pac. Ironic indeed.

First Nacho said he was in favor of 5th fight. Then the acne. Showed up, don't want it now.

Floyd's cowardice must be contagious, ducking fights because they are going to be tough, poor excuse Nacho.

Thank goodness we have fighters like Pacquiao, Thurman and Kovalev who have relish taken on the tough fights.

A 5th one would be interesting. Funny how the Pac haters say JMM has won all 4. I like both fighters alot. I watched all 4 a while back and came away with pretty close to the actual scores. I just think Nacho doesn't wanna take the chance of upsetting JMM's apple cart. JMM landed a great home run punch... yes... but Pac could do the same. 50/50 fight, and JMM will be very happy he took the fight 15 years from now when he still has some moolah left for he and his family. And he has 3 kids, all of whom will wanna go to college, and ask Pop for loans, houses, cars, you name it.
