Bob knows canelo would have a great chance at flattening manny.. Arum will want to drag out manny's career as long as possible, so I figure he wants to start with easier opponents like ghost, khan, Devon, Maidana, then canelo..

I don't think porter, Thurman are with gbp, they are with al haymon but not officially signed to gbp.. Those guys will be guided towards a Floyd fight, while manny will probably have a series of fights vs khan, Maidana, ghost, etc

I agree about canelo will be too big for manny.. That's why arum is talking about next year for that fight and will allow manny to get some fights vs other welters first like Maidana, ghost, khan... Garcia I think will be guided towards a Floyd fight instead of a manny fight

Lol... So would I.. Broner-PAC would be so entertaining to watch even though it's probably a huge mismatch..

If I'm oscar,,, I would try and make Maidana-manny for November.. That's a no brainer

Maybe we can get Lucas vs ruslan... That would be epic

really its just refreshing to hear some new names tossed in the mix... pac-jmm 5 and pac-ruslan are good fights but really the jmm fight is the only big fight for manny .. and bob wants 5 more fights out of the guy.

right, canelo is probably too big but keep in mind hes struggling to make 154 already. no way in hell manny fighting him above 154. hes probably going to move to middle soon, by the time he may fight manny he would have to move down giving manny a chance at just boxing the guy,, even at this stage manny moves much faster, but canelo has a thudding punch that could def catch a slower manny

He isn't breaking away, he is in the midst of firing Schafer... The unknown is how al haymon will react, he has a lot of fighters, and only a portion are technically under contract to gbp.. IMO haymon will work with gbp if Schafer leaves, unless Schafer goes somewhere else like mayweather promotions and continues in the boxing business

Sounds like he was implying non-Al Haymon managed fighters when he said "Welterweights that were really on the Golden Boy Roster" which is what no one?

Not 100% sure but I think only Thurman! porter and quillen are not under contract to gbp.. I'm sure there is a few others..

Gbp does still have khan, ghost, Maidana, Lucas,

PAC-Porter ...make it happen. Khan is possible but I don't think he deserves a shot yet. Khan needs another legit win... However, he already brings his fanbase to the table. So if it its about money, then yea Khan makes sense. But Porter is the other title holder not named Floyd. So by beating Porter, maybe it'd put more pressure on Floyd. ...mmm doubt it. Floyd doesn't care.

Interesting. Porter and Khan are both former sparring partners for PAC.

That would be great. forget Floyd and his pro wrestling circus all together. Manny vs Khan.
