    Kovalev's chin.

How good or bad would you say it is? I'm personally not sure, but getting knocked out in the amateurs doesn't bode well.

6:03. Kovalev eats the shot that KOd Stevenson and put Ward on his butt.

      He has a solid chin.

Definitely good, people can talk about the Boone fight but Boone has put a lot of guys down. I'd have to see him eat Stevenson's punches before I went great or anything.

I rarely criticize a fighter's "chin". the term just doesn't seem to mean very much. Take Khan for example. People say he has a glass chin but in reality he has a tendency to panic when he gets hit, which is a psychological flaw.

In Kovalev's case, his defense is lazy/overconfident. I think his power is so great that he becomes used to just walking his opponents down but I've seen some punches graze him that had his opponent stepped into it a bit more would have him out cold. I hope he tightens it up a bit and increases his torso movement.

Head gear does virtually nothing to stop a KO. Especially from a cross to the chin.
