i dont blame marquez for not wanting to fight again. he feels he may lose a decision. of course he has complained about getting robbed every time the fight goes 12 rounds.

the chances of getting "robbed" in 4 fights is a statistical improbability.

Everybody except Marquez and his fans want to see this fight. Aside from floyd, I have NEVER seen a fighter in the history of boxing as afraid of another fighter as Marquez is. He wasgetting his face rearranged up until that freak punch. He wants to make history but if that means fighting Pac he is willing tl not make it. That tells you right there how shook he is.

it has nothing to do with who you're a fan of. i'm not a closed-minded poster like most of you dudes. I just pointed out a simple fact, that marquez may feel like the pacquiao situation is "case closed" in his book, and feels like their last fight was the ultimate satisfaction for him.

imo, we've seen them fight 4x, and there's no need for ANYBODY to fight ANYBODY 5 goddamn times.

it's amazing to me, that pacquaio fans, with all the other fights that should be made, would want to see the same 2 dudes fight over and over again. smh

Despite what they say, Pac fans don't and have never wanted him to face any real threats..I'm completely amazed myself that they try to compare him to Floyd, but only Floyd is expected to keep facing young strong and bigger fighters.On the other hand this steroided Juan seems unstoppable so a fifth fight will be good..

Anybody who wanted to see a fifth fight, wanted to see it or at the very least was alright with it anyway.

Even if both were coming off Ls that group would want to see (or be fine with) these guys squaring up again.

I personally fall in the camp that is alright with it, and if they would have lost their last fights I would still be alright because it is a rivalry situation.

Marquez is being accused of using PEDs by people at HBO who have never accused fighters in that way ever before. Larry Merchant voiced his concerns about Marquez juicing...hiring Memo was big evidence but his two performances without testing and the one with testing show two different fighters in last 3. Marquez has been a BS artist his entire career with statements that he made... if he wants a fifth world title..he has to fight Pac or possibly wait years for the spot to open up. He knows Pac will ask for VADA and wants no part of it..don't give me this BS..lol...money is what matters...Marquez made 1.5 mil fighting Alvarado...he can make 6 fighting Pac and go for a fifth world title...one fight required VADA testing the other didn't...do that math...

If you read my posts, I clearly said I believe marquez was juicing for the 4th fight, so I don't get the point of your posts.

In the previous 3 fights they fought (LOL), nobody was accusing marquez of juicing, correct? What happened? He ended up losing 3 disputable decisions, it wasn't as if manny was blowing him out of the water.

My point is, maybe marquez doesn't want to lose another close decision, and feels the last fight was satisfaction enough for the first 3. He's had a long career, and I doubt he's broke, so there's no reason to believe money will be a factor in making him decide to fight manny again or not.

The bigger picture is, fighter A, was suspected of juicing years ago, and declined testing, for several different reasons. Fighter A then turns around and gets KO'd by fighter B (who he has disputable wins over, at best). Fighter B is now suspected of juicing, and fighter A now jumps on the drug-testing train, and wants a rematch under those conditions.

I call it karma, let it go. A 5th resolves nothing, and at best only adds to any speculation that marquez was juicing for fight 4. It won't prove anything, and even if Manny wins, it does nothing to clear up the feeling that many people have, that Marquez won the first 3 fights, also. So what's the point of of 5th fight, really?

There are other WW's out there, let's move on; nothing more to see.

BoxingScene.com caught up with HBO commentator Jim Lampley shortly after Juan Manuel Marquez's scintillating victory over Mike Alvarado this past Saturday in Los Angeles. Both fighters hit the canvas but Marquez built an early lead that Alvarado couldn't overcome. Lampley was very impressed by the show put on by both men.

IMO JMM needs to prove if that was a lucky lunch or not if nothing else to protect himself against the slander that arises. Personally I'm one of the many many ppl who believe that last shot was pure luck and that if could /would never be repeated. This is in addition to all the other perks for fighting PAC a 5th time. If he even agrees to VADA that would also squelch rumors he was juicing (which for the record I believe he was not doing).
