Um yeah it does, just ask Conan. When he left NBC's The Tonight Show he could not appear on TV for a year.

Right. You mean the part where Al Haymon said:

"I know Richard Schaefer has screwed over a lot of promoters who promote fighters I have deals with ...but I want to start a promotional partnership with Schaefer anyway.

"I know it means essentially every fighter I signed will have to decide if they want me and Richard to promote them or choose to stay with their current promoter ...

"I know I'll lose some clients who like their promoter.

"I know those who are dumb enough to break contracts with their current promoters and join our new company will be sued along with me, and I'll be tied up in court for years ...

"And I know it'll probably freeze the careers of a lot of guys who I personally know and am friends with ...

"And I know it'll probably bankrupt me ...

"And I could avoid it all by just NOT partnering with Schaefer...

"But what the hell. I love that Swiss guy's big round head. It's so cute."

      You mean that conversation?

No, I mean the one you didn't invent.

The day Oscar De La Hoya fires Richard Schaefer and names a new man to head his company, Al Haymon will pick up the phone and quickly begin working with the new exec at Golden Boy.

Schaefer is a just another "suit." They come and go at every promotional company. That's just how it is.

The person who replaces him will be "praised" by all for helping to end boxing's "cold war."

          And that'll be that.

Except...Haymon isn't beholden to anyone. He has fighters promoted by other companies. He can do as he pleases, in spite of the non-stop story telling you've done in this thread.

Ellerbe is CEO of TMT. What exactly would Schaefer do? He's probably going to get screwed over the most, but it serves him right. Investing GBP money into fighters that aren't signed to GBP is bad for the company. He didn't have the companies best interest when he was doing things like that.

The only person who I know of that has said they won't work with GBP if Richard leaves is Floyd Mayweather. While that might hurt GBP, it's not going to be the end of them.

Plenty of titles for Schafer at TMT (or anywhere else for that matter). COO. CFO. EVP. Etc.

I'm not sure what non-GBP fighters you're referring to that Schafer used GBP funds to invest in.

Keith Thurman has stated he's a free agent and doesn't have a promoter... Yet he headlined a GBP card earlier this year. There was one other guy but I can't remember off the top of my head...I was discussing this in another thread a few days ago. I'll try and find out who

And yeah I'm sure they can give Schaefer some title or whatever but I don't see the point of it... He's just a business guy not a boxing guy. He doesn't have connections that other guys don't. He's burned a lot of bridges. He just seems to be the odd man out in this whole situation

De La Hoya still has GBP
                  Haymon still has his fighters
Richard might have Al Haymon? might not? I don't know tbh

Was is it just Keith Thurman on that card? Or was it a GBP promoted card that included primarily GBP fighters with one or two exceptions (like many cards in this world)?

He was the headliner. How many times have you seen a guy headline a card by a company that isn't his promoter?

Fighters with big fan bases like Cotto do it, but Keith Thurman? That never happens with guys like that
