Right. Any promotional outfit, as long as the fighter is signed by Golden Boy or with Al Haymon - like Stevenson did.

And there's only so many cards a year on Showtime.

So, will fighters stay with Golden Boy - which will have a deal with Showtime AND is eager to fight on HBO, too.

Or will they go with Schaefer ... who doesn't have a deal with either network but "Floyd" says he can work with them "if" he leaves. And we all know Floyd never goes back on a promise.

Oscar holds all the cards. Schaefer isn't anything without someone (Oscar, Floyd, Hamon) holding him up.

Or maybe Schafer and Haymon create their own outfit. Or partner up with TMT (they already have).

        1 + 1 = 2

I see you and simple logic have never met.

        LOL..

What, do you think executives stay at companies forever?

A company that has money pouring in can do fine with someone at the helm who is "okay" at their job for a while.

But every business switches leaders from time to time when things go south. And things are going south at Golden Boy.

Schaefer has burned bridges that have "hurt" the Golden Boy business long term. Oscar wants to do business with HBO, the premiere boxing network in the U.S., and Schaefer's presence is preventing that.

Schaefer has created a rift throughout the sport - not just at Top Rank.

If Schaefer goes, the only people who will suffer will be the fighters who "go with Schaefer" to that magical network that doesn't exist with unlimited TV slots and money to burn.

Every fighter who remains at Golden Boy will benefit by having multiple networks to fight on.

I don't understand why you think everything will crumble if a guy like Schaefer gets the boot. He's never been the smartest guy in the room. And he isn't now.

If he's fired, he'll see how far the "relationships" he's built will go when he's cut loose and has to start making deals with people he's burned for years.

The guy started at the top. He doesn't realize how far down he can fall.

Yes, I'm sure Haymon will be eager to share the money he's making with Schaefer. Rich guys love to do that.

          LOL.

They share it now, in case you haven't noticed.

Executives get fired from big companies all the time.

When that executive is fired for hurting the business, major clients tend to keep working with the big company. They don't decide to "partner" with the executive that was fired and go to war with the big company.

If Schaefer is fired, Al Haymon will keep working with Golden Boy and Golden Boy fighters.

              Simple as that.

If Richard Schaefer thinks something else is going to happen, he's delusional.

What else did Haymon tell you during this conversation?

He said, "I love Richard Schaefer. I love him so much, when he loses his job, I'm willing to split all the money I'm earning now with him, since we're such good friends. And we're going to start a company together as partners. We're going to call it Swiss Black. And we're going to put on big shows that aren't televised anywhere. And then when we're broke in a year, we're going to drink Kool-Aid with arsenic in it and die hugging each other. Because we're so tight."

"Or," he added, "I could just keep doing business with Golden Boy, get along with the new guy they hire, and keep earning millions. Either or."

After the financial disaster that was Mayweather-Maidana, it's gonna be a while before richard schaefer resurfaces

Schaefer may very well have been the one who convinced showtime that this fight was capable of breaking the 1.5 million break-even barrier. Turns out it could only manage half of that.

Schaefer's miscalculations have not only cost him - they've cost GBP, showtime and likely even floyd himself..let's not forget that half of floyd's "70 million guarantee" comes from himself so in reality his max payday is something like 35 million before expenses and taxes. I'd estimate his true take home pay is below 15 million, and this guy tried to offer manny a 40 million flat fee lmao. Not only that, he got busted up by maidana who isnt even top 20 p4p.

No, I meant things he actually said. Not like everyone of his fighters is on GBP. So try again.
