Comments Thread For: Golovkin: Facing Cotto-Martinez Winner is Very Important

BoxingScene.com caught up with WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin this past Saturday in Los Angeles, California. Golovkin was hoping to face former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez on July 19th but that fight has been shelved for the moment as Chavez and his promoter Top Rank couldn't come to an agreement for the fight and a contract extension.

Well I'd be a little surprised given big money Canelo/FMJ fights on the horizon but you're right, Cotto is that type of guy.

Cotto is going to shock a lot of people, and wear Martinez down. He won't fight Golovkin though, my guess is he either fights Floyd or Canelo for the title or drops the belt and moves back down to 154.

Damn everyone and their momma wants the winner of this fight.

I personally think that if both Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Miguel Cotto win they will finally face each other at the end of the year.

Manny Pacquiao & Gennady Golovkin will have to look somewhere else for an opponent!
