Comments Thread For: Martinez Not Worried About Judging in Cotto Defense

Madison Square Garden has been a second home for Miguel Cotto, a Puerto Rican fighter who has headlined in the famed New York City arena eight times and who will once again be in the main event there for his June 7 pay-per-view against Sergio Martinez.

It is highly likely that an overwhelming majority of the crowd will be there to support Cotto. Yet Martinez says he isn’t concerned about the three ringside boxing judges being swayed in his opponent’s favor. [Click Here To Read More]

I was thinking the same thing...

Someone needs to ask - with his injuries, I don't know. Could the team be using illicit products to help with the healing?

I love Sergio though - so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt

Yeah, i always liked him too, you bring up a good point. He's always looked ripped, so you wouldn't be able to tell from looking at him, "unless his head is bigger or he has zits"....

I think he has too much integrity to abuse them. i can see him using them long before the fight to help with his recovery, but not to "enhance" his abilities in the ring. I think he wants a clear win, and a clear concience.

Bro - with his injuries - i just can't see how he holds up at 40. I broke my foot 10 years ago - 10 f***ing years ago, when I was 20. It still hasn't fully healed to full flexibility. I was active duty so my care was paid for.

But there were no magic pills available to me to speed the recovery. Anyways, no matter what you take, when you eff with your knees, you never come back the same. We'll see. If I see Sergio moving on June 7th like a 25 year old, hopping in and out, I'll be suspect
