Showtime/GBP are the only ones losing money. Espinoza/Schaefer are amateurs in the business. They spend like drunken sailors.

Arum is the pro. He spends one dollar to make $100. The rivals spend $100 to make $1.

That's why Oscar needs Arum for his schooling in the business side of the sport.

Top Rank is a much smaller entity than CBS, plus boxing is their whole business and as a mature company that has no real growth plan (outside of possibly exploiting a new market) they need to make money on their bread and butter.

CBS is a vast company with a ton of different channels and ways to make money. As a publicly traded company growth is a big factor to them almost as much as profit because stock prices are forward looking so future large profits at the expense of smaller current profits is a real strategy for them.

i'm not sure if top rank has signed viktor postol, but if they haven't then they really should.

i think viktor postol will become the next p4p#1 after wlad retires.

he can easily become a star like wlad.

Earnings are earnings, and Showtime and CBS earning are up. Can't spin it, flip it or reinvent it. Like I said, spending a couple hundred million on programming content ( which is what boxing is), to achieve Billion Dollar Quarterly earnings makes sense, because it's basic economics.
