Khan, Porter & Thurman Bigger Punchers @147 Than Pacquiao & Mayweather?

All 3 fighters, Khan, Porter and Thurman showed very good power in their last fights against varying opponents. Khan had by far the toughest opponent in Collazo and knocked him down 3 times, Porter knocked out a battleworn Malignaggi and Thurman stopped an aging Diaz with a rib injury.

How would both Mayweather and Pacquiao, at this stage of their careers, handle those 3 opponents - Collazo, Malignaggi & Diaz? Would they have knocked down and/or stopped any of them or could Khan, Porter and Thurman actually possess more power at 147 than both Floyd and Manny?

I'm not sold on Thurman, he has power but he's overhyped to death, Porter is probably the most complete of the 3, he can be a legit 154lbr if he wanted.

I think Khan has definitely found more pop at 147 but it's not the sort of power thats devastating, the biggest punchers at 147 in order for me,

    Maidana
    Porter/Thurman
Provodnikov (when he fights at the weight)
    Chaves
    Pacman
    Abregu
    Rios
    Khan

Up and comer to watch out for with Dynamite in both hands Mian Hussain

Here you go again building up Khan. You started at least one other thread today trying to promote Khan as something special based on his win over Collazo. Yes Collazo beat Ortiz. So what? Ortiz has been finished as a fighter for a while now. Collazo was a cherry pick for Khan and he was supposed to win. Khan and his loyal fans like you are trying to make Collazo in to a monster to give Khan credit for this great victory. Berto beat Collazo as did 5 other guys. Old Mosley won every round from Collazo when Collazo was a prime 28 not a washed up 33. Pacquiao, Thurman and Porter all hit harder than Khan and would have knocked Collazo out. Collazo was ranked number 22 going into the Khan fight. If Khan really had confidence in himself he would have fought a top 10 welterweight and Schaefer loves Khan and could have set up any fight Khan wanted with Golden Boy fighters. Khan could have fought Porter, Guererro, Brook, Alexander or Thurman who are all ranked higher than him and are top 10 rated welterweights and a win over any of them would have really meant something. A win over Collazo doesn't mean much and that's why Ring magazine that is owned by De La Hoya only ranks Khan number 9 at welterweight. Khan needs to try and beat a top 5 welterweight before he and his fans act like he is so special. Khan was looking good a few years ago when he put together wins over Judah, Maidana and Paulie but he seemed to be a better fighter back then.

All these 3 are not on Floyd and Pacquaio level.

Khan is no where near as big a puncher as Porter, Thurman, or Pacquiao. Also, out of the 5 fighters mentioned in the title thread Khan has the worst chin by far.

Khan? No. Porter I think so,and maybe Thurman although he is always loading up. Not that power means much honestly comparing them to those 2 guys tbh.

I would rank Porter, JMM* and Ruslan as the WW with the most power

Pacquiao, Thurman and Maidana are slightly below

Khan appears to have more power than Floyd, Bradley and Paulie

Im not a big Thurman fan but he has power. If anything I would put him over Maidana. Porter has power but from what I seen, nothing special.

Collazo was ranked number 2 by the WBA and number 8 by the WBC. And no one is saying he was a monster, everyone knew that Ortiz would quit the fight as soon as Collazo landed something big. But the point is Collazo still beats both Paulie and Diaz so Khan did have the toughest opponent compared to Porter and Thurman, and he put that opponent down 3 times when a lot boxers haven't been able to drop Collazo.

Plus we shouldn't forget that Khan was inactive for 13 months, he was rusty and it was his first 147 fight against a big 147 pounder. So all things considered I think that was an excellent performance. Both Porter and Thurman also had excellent performances but Khan did face a tougher opponent and dominated virtually every round.
