BoxingScene.com understands that British super middleweight George Groves is expected to sign with German based promotional outfit, Sauerland, with an announcement expected tomorrow.

Groves 19-1 (15) is currently in training for his much anticipated rematch with bitter rival Carl Froch 32-2 (23) for his IBF and WBA titles which will take place in front of an expected 80,000 people on May 31 at Wembley Stadium.

Bit of a dumb move on Groves part, should just stay with matchroom after he gets beat, i'm sure eddie could get him big fights at home instead if fighting all over europe.

Yes they can. And if Groves beat Froch, I guarantee he will be matched against Abraham and Kessler. Even if he loses those are huge fights in the UK.

And this is why i dont like groves he has no loyalty what so ever he comes accross as so self centerd, this will be his fourth promotional outfit already, he really doesn't want that degale fight does he.

That's a strange one since as far as I know the Sauerland brothers havent done any shows in the UK. It seems wierd that Price who has great support in Liverpool chooses to fight on undercards in Germany instead. Now Groves joins the same stable, I guess they must be planning to start promoting UK based shows otherwise it makes no sense.

Bet Hearn is praying Froch wins the rematch now because I wouldn't be surprised if Groves win, lose or draw chooses to go the Abraham/Kessler/Steiglitz route instead of DeGale.
